I would like to interface a Raspberry Pi computer running opencv. Can it communicate with the Stem Arduino board and if so what is required to do this. Can it be done via serial cable, via RPI GPIO or some other way. I would like the opencv on the RPI to send navigation commands to the arduino stem board and have the robot respond accordingly. Eg. Turn, Move, Stop, etc.
Thanks

After doing some research it would appear as long as the sTEM board is fully compatible with Arduino (Not sure what model STEM compatible with but think it is UNO model) then RPI should be able to talk with STEM probably via serial or something else (Not sure). Not sure what type of shield is being used on the PI-BOT. Maybe someone can answer this. I guess I will know more once I get my PI-BOT. Originally I thought it was made to integrate with RPI and it very well do that but the PI-BOT name is a little confusing to us RPI users who are looking to get into basic robotics.
