My Pi-bot motors seem to make a humming nosie and not move at all when running the Motortest.ino file. Is this a wiring, motor, or gearbox problem? Tmanzz122

hi Tmanzz122 , If sound like you motors are trying to turn but are being stopped! With all power removed from your Pi-Bot, try turning one of the wheels slowly and without force, the motor attached to the wheel should turn quite fast and sound a bit like a mosquito. If you are unable to make the motor turn then you should go back and have a look at your gear box. If you can turn the motor then your problem may be with the wiring. Let us know how you are getting on.

Just worked out the problem with Stemcenter admin via email. Turns out the problem was 1 AA battery corroded and had to be replaced.

How to run Motor test? please help... That isn't much info to help you with, but here it goes; First, you need to have Arduino (Arduino.cc) installed. Complete the setup process. Then, go to the Pibot website (not forum) and download the motortest.ino file. Open that into Arduino and hook up the usb cable to the board and laptop. From there you can compile and download to the board. Turn on the boy with all power supplies active and the motors should move according to the code. ---- Reply if you get stuck
